CAAC artist Romuald Hazoumé's Rainbow Serpent will be featured in "A Universe of Possibilities" exhibit at African Cosmos: Stellar Art at the National Museum of African Art in Washington. Rainbow Serpent is made out of recycled jerry cans that are typically used to carry gasoline. Here, Hazoumé addresses the exploitation of resources and how this affects communities around the world and over time, including the horrors of the transatlantic slave trade centuries ago and its economic equivalents today. The exhibit runs until December 9th, National Museum of African Art, 950 Independence Avenue SW, Washington.
